Something else that is good on toast is roast beef and gravy or slow cooker paprikash and gravy. Pour the mixture on toast and you are all set for a delicious dinner. If you buy toasters as gifts the person receiving the toaster will be able to make these delectable meals.

Or maybe you want to be able to cook your dishes on the stove top? How about turkey with cranberry stuffing and fresh roasted corn? Bacon Explosion: Where's The Beef?

My roommate is a vegetarian turned recent vegan. I am the opposite of that, whatever that is. There was a point in my life that I'm fairly certain I ate a cheeseburger a day. A Wendy's No. 3 can be polished off without flinching (for those non-fast foodies, a No. 3 is a triple cheeseburger, fries and soft drink). In my eyes, the Hamburgler is a hero. So when every Atlanta publication raved about Holeman and Finch's burgers, I knew where my next beef binge was coming from.

Red Bean Chili Con Carne

Want to be an astronaut or a baker or a carpenter? Perhaps you'd prefer to be a chef or a pilot or a successful entrepreneur? Choosing your options is never going to be that easy; what you need is to collate the things you are good at with the things you enjoy doing and then see where that leads you.

Buffalo Wings - Who ever thought that mixing chicken wings with some hot sauce would be a tasty treat? Apparently not Teressa Bellissimo, who never knew just how popular her creation would be. Every other chain restaurant in the U.S. has their own take on Buffalo wings, with some making use of distinctive sauces to add more diversity to the taste. In spite of this, the formula remains the same: chicken wings deep fried and then combined with a sweet spicy sauce that just bursts with tanginess!



You almost need a miner's lamp to see ito my chest freezer, but I found a bag of sliced French bread on the bottom. Ah ha! This would be the basis of my Parmesan crostini. All in all, my "instant" dinner was shaping up nicely. The soup was a meal in a bowl, the crostini a crunchy companion to it, and we would have coffee ice cream for dessert.

Chili peppers, water and cubes of beef are the basic ingredients to make crock pot chili ground beef, but you can add tomato paste or tomato sauce if you like the taste, since this thickens the dish as well as giving it a richer flavor. Cumin can be used to add a smoky taste. You might want to add some hot sauce too, if the chilies do not make it hot enough for your palate.

Since it's very easy to use a slow cooked chili - just place the raw food and liquid in the pot - almost everybody can use it. I read about a 76 old widower, who wanted to start cooking himself for the first time in his life. He bought a slow cooked chili, and he made the most delicious roast with vegetables.

You could use a theme for the custom cookbook. It could be a book of breakfast recipes or a book of dessert recipes. You could make it a style of cooking, say a book of barbecue recipes or slow cooker chili. There are a lot of Asian recipes out there so it could be based on that type of theme as well.

Cut and soften vegetables: Some vegetables (eg carrots, onions, potatoes) take longer to cook than meat. If the recipe combines any of these vegetables with meat, place the vegetables at the bottom of the cooker and then add the meat. Remember to thinly cut the vegetables according to the exact specifications of the recipe. It is recommended that you soften (brown, saute) vegetables (eg onions and carrots) before cooking: you will notice a whole lot of difference in both appearance and taste!

Pour the sauce into a large pan and carefully skim fat with a spoon. Put gravy flour into a cup and, stirring constantly, add a little cold water. Pour this mixture into the sauce, stirring chili con carne jamie oliver. Cook over medium heat until sauce thickens. Return the short ribs to the sauce, cover, and cook over low heat for five minutes. Serve immediately with ciabatta bread and a green salad. Makes 6 generous servings.
